The vision for KILLTOPIA was to create not just a cyberpunk TV show, but a transmedia XR storyworld-- a narrative and technical framework upon which fans could build out their own lore using custom 3D characters and puppeteering software.

To the left is an unedited XR photograph of my favorite KILLTOPIA character and me, taken using a software prototype I created for Voltaku.

​

As CTO of Voltaku Studios, I wore many hats including XR Product Designer, Software Developer, Pipeline Tools Writer, Virtual Production Supervisor, Graphic Designer, Content Creator, and more.

The Virtual Production Pipeline we created for KILLTOPIA was a typical fusion of Unreal Engine, XSens, and MVN Animate. I got our cycles down to about one hour, going from zero to completed TikTok video using the workflow described in our Pipeline Demo Video:

As you might imagine, all of this heavy duty tracking equipment and software synchronization was a burden to our actors! We decided it would be worth it to drop the render quality and tracking fidelity to seek a more flexible and comfortable solution.

As a result, I created a 3D XR VTubing Prototype, which remains available for testing in the Apple App Store. I was responsible for the app design and implementation, as well as the product deck, roadmap, tutorializing, graphic design, etc:
